ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHAPRA ZILLA!!!

52 yrs age of ram Ratan Parekh did not have enough education .he belongs from one of the backward district of chapra, Bihar. He was the elder son of his mother; Lakshmi Bai. his father ;jai prakash left lakshmi Bai in a very tender age just after the birth of their daughter; chumki who is 5 years younger than ram ratan.Jai prakash worked at a local brickfield as a daily lebourer. Whatever he earned per day mostly he spent on buzzing. On the other hand lakshmi Bai was very much caring and loving wife. she always tried to counsel her husband but in return she always got abused physically. Many times jai prakash abused her so brutally that village panchayet had to interfare .ram ratan remained very much scared for such inhuman behaviour of his father. One dusky winter evening Lakshmi Bai was collecting dry leaves for making fire with the help of her little son Ram Ratan while suddenly in an intoxicated state jai Prakash rushed towards their cottage and kicked on the abdomen of pregnant Lakshmi Bai which made her unconscious with profuse bleeding from her private part. Surmi chachi along with other neighbours rushed to their home and shifted her to the nearest health centre where she gave birth of chumki who was very sick due to her immature growth and in the mean time by the interference of village panchayat jai prakash was booked for such henious criminal offence which bound jai prakash to fly away forever .On the other hand having seen such horrible attitude of his father ;Ram Ratan got freezed and was suffered with high fever .In this turmoil almost 2 weeks passed away lakshmi Bai came back at her home with her new born daughter. In her absence Ram Ratan was taken care by surmi chachi who resided beside their house and was a very loving lady who taught various skills to the young girls of her neighbourhood, during the absence of his mother every evening Ram Ratan minutely listened to the mesmerizing recitation of ‘ the ramayana’ by surmi chachi. Though being a little child he could not understand all the story line of that recitation but that recitation session gave a healing touch to all the mental trauma of Ram Ratan .As days passed away lakshmi Bai took up some odd job in that same brick field where her husband was working for her livelihood.

She went there thrice in a week and rest of the days she took lesson on some knitting skill from that surma chachi. In such way Ramratan and his sister were brought up by their mother with much more love and care. Hence 20/25 years passed away suddenly lakshmi Bai died due to the spreading of a devastating fire at that brick field due to chimney brust . After the sad demise of their mother Ram Ratan became the only guardian of his sister and started working rigorously .At that time he came to bandel ;a so called rich village in west bengal to get settled with his sister. Slowly he accumulated his enough savings to start a new brick field at bandel area. Since then he was searching an opportunity to organize a non formal school for the kids of brick field labours who usued to migrate every year from different neighbour states of west bengal .He is very fond of women empowerment and believes that an educated and empowered mother can procreate a empowered and educated child. In the year of 2016 he came to know regarding the various initiatives of turnstone global as a social entrepreneur organization and expressed his will to them to create a non formal school at his brick field .In the same year turnstone global set up that nonformal school which helps the kids to get their education and simultaneously it brings a respite for the parents of those kids who once worked with their parents as their helping hands in making bricks. Having seen such overwhelming response since 2016 turnstone global made 12 informal schools at all 12 brick fields at bandel with students strength of almost 1000.this change brings back that peace which Ram Ratan lost due to mutiple turmoil of his life.

There are various role of non formal school in our country
