The Programme
To foster the talents in Bengal in the fields of singing, dancing and acting Turnstone Global is going to host an All Bengal Talent Hunt & Carnival under the title of “BONGO SERA” covering the length and breadth of West Bengal.
Selection Procedure
The selection of “BONGO SERA” will comprise of the following 4 stages:
Stage 1- Registration
Registration open till 31st March, 2019
Turnstone Global is inviting participation from desirous participants in different categories in their respective age group. An applicant can register for more than one category by separately registering for every category paying the appropriate registration fees. The participant can register their names till 31st March 2019 directly or through any of our Field Registration Partner (FRP).
Direct Registration
An applicant may register online through our dedicated portal by providing all information in respective columns and online payment of registration fees.
Once all information are uploaded and online payment is made, a registration receipt will be generated which shall be sent to the applicant’s mail id. An SMS shall also be delivered to the registered mobile number of the applicant.
Registration through Field Partner:
An applicant can also register their names through our Field Registration Partners (FRP) engaged in every district. For this, the applicant has to fill up the registration form available with our FRP and submit the same back to FRP along with payment of registration fees. Field partner will upload information on dedicated portal of “BONGO SERA” on behalf of the participant. As proof, FRP will give offline acknowledgement receipt.
Once the FRP uploads the information on the dedicated portal on behalf of the specific participant, the participant will receive a confirmation on his/her mail id along with SMS on the applicant’s registered mobile.
Note: Offline acknowledge receipt will not be considered as proof of application during the time of district level screening. The participant has to furnish either of the following
a) Confirmation receipt on the particular mail id or
b) SMS on the registered mobile number
The participant also has to carry their valid identity card from any one of the following
Failing to produce confirmation mail or SMS along with valid identity card, the registration will be liable to be treated as cancelled.
Stage 2 – District Level Screening: 15th May to 15th July
Every participant has to appear for district level screening to qualify for participation in the State Level. Every registered participant will be called for screening in their respective district, the date, time and venue of which will be positively intimated from time to time through SMS.
Stage 3 – State Level Screening: 15th August
Participant selected 1st in their respective age and category from each district will participate for the State Level screening to qualify for the Grand Finale which will be telecast in “Tara TV” television channel The State Level Screening shall be held in Kolkata. Venue will be intimated to all selected participants. .
Stage 4 – Grand Finale
Language
The Grand Finale will start telecast from 15th September, 2019 onwards. The 1st and 2nd participants of each category and age group selected from the State Level will perform at the Grand Finale. The Grand Finale will be telecast in 13 episodes on Tara TV. Prior to Grand Finale, selected participants will undergo a 10 days grooming session. This grooming followed by recording for television will also be held in Kolkata.
A participant can perform in Bengali, Hindi or English. No other languages will be entertained.
Age Group
Based on age, participants will be segregated into 3 groups.
Category
The programme “BONGO SERA” will have Three categories
Singing:
Any song such as Gazal, Bhajan, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, film song, contemporary non-film song, Baul, Loko Geeti, Classical, etc. Duration of one performance should not exceed 5 minutes.
Dancing:
Dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Manipuri, Khatthak, Odishi, Manipuri, Rabindra Nrittyo, Jazz, Rock, Hip-hop, Fusion etc. can also be performed. All performances will have to be solo. Duration of one performance should not exceed 5 minutes.
Acting:
Only mono act form has to be performed. Scenes from existing plays or self-written ones are accepted. However, duration of one performance should not exceed more that 5 minutes.
Apart from being Bongo Sera/Zilla Sera/Rajya Sera
•Suitable participants will get the chance in cinemas/serials according to their ability
•Top 1000 participants will get scholarship worth Rs.3000/ with certificate
Nataraj Scholarship in Dance,
Rabindra Scholarship in Music
Satyajeet Ray Scholarship in Acting
•Best 10000 performance will be promoted on You Tube
•Lucky 10 participants will enjoy free trip to Bangkok with their family (max 4 persons per family)
