Turnstone Global celebrates 2nd anniversary of Skill India Mission

Turnstone Global is celebrating 2nd anniversary of Skill India Mission on the 15th July 2017.Skill India is a campaign introduced by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi on 15th July 2015 which aim to train over 400 million young people in India in different skills by 2022. It includes various initiatives of the Government like “National Skill Development Mission”, “National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship,2015”. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi outlined his vision for “Skill India” as he launched the “National Skill Development Mission” in New Delhi. Asserting that his Government has declared a war on poverty and is determined to win it, the Prime Minister said that each poor, underprivileged youth is a soldier in this war.The Mission has been developed to create convergence across sectors and the States in terms of skill training activities. Further, to achieve the vision of ‘Skilled India’, the National Skill Development Mission would not only consolidate and coordinate skill efforts, but also expedite decision making across sectors to achieve skill at scale with speedup standard. It will be implement through a streamlined institutional mechanism driven by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

Turnstone Global is tempting to fulfill this gap with providing assistance in every step to our youth through our various programs. With support of many eminent foundations, the vocational training and skill development institutions has been set-up where we specialize in providing the vocational and skill development training to mostly specially- able people and youth from economically backward section of the community. Short term courses such as; the Computer Fundamentals and Travel and Tourism, Retail Management, Hospitality Management, Beautician, tailoring, spice making, candle and crafts making etc. in which specialized training are given to these young people so that they can keep their pace with the world and also help them in getting a job in the growing industry.

The soft skill and personality development course is also provided to enhance the same of our beneficiaries. It will help to develop their communication skills as well as interactive and interpersonal skills of the participants. A spoken English class is also organised because to interact properly in Corporate India, one needs to be fluent in the language.

A training session for woman is also provided on handicraft and paper craft making as it is an industry which requires marginal economic resources. Musical training is also conducted to develop co-curricular activities. The career counseling and the Placement cell is also established to help them in implementation their career.

“PriyankaAgarwal, daughter of Ashok Agarwal is 100% visually handicapped who came to know about our computer education for visually challenged through her friends and enrolled her name at our institution. This course some personality development inputs, Priyanka received from our institution provided the much needed confidence in her life. After completing this course with good marks, she confidently faced the interview board of IBM India. Today she is working as an Executive at IBM in Bangalore.”
