Siddharth Agarwal: Why do some people engage in social work instead of doing for self?

Before we start Siddharth introduction, let’s discuss some points. Why people come to help others?
Most preferred answer is Self Satisfaction.

Because it is much more satisfying. The core human feelings which make us feel good are love and compassion. Helping others and experiencing their happiness gives us happiness and gives us satisfaction.

The fundamental reason behind this is all living beings are connected by the same thread and helping someone selflessly makes us more happy and contended. Once you clear out the imaginary clothes that people put on to shield their fears, we actually are one. You can actually experience this in your everyday life.

So then there is no difference between personal and someone else’s happiness.
Happiness is always mutual and that is why some people prefer doing it for “others” than for “themselves”, because fundamentally there is no difference between you and me. We are one.

Siddharth Agarwal, from Noida , India. He is a strong, passionate and empowered individual who’s ready to bring a change by creating an impact.

He is pursuing his law from Symbiosis Law School, Noida. He basically belong from Asansol West Bengal , where he completed his schooling from St. Patrick’s Higher Secondary School Asansol.

He would come for 4 weeks internship with turnstoneglobal .He got Turnstoneglobal information from internet.
He chooses this organisation because in east India Turnstone did lots of things for social welfare.
As a responsible citizen he also wants to join this organisation to provide his initiative for well being of society.

He takes classes of slum kids of basanti colony near bidhan nagar station Kolkata. He thinks as per his experience that education is powerful weapon to protect millions of kids from poverty.

He believed that providing equal care and support for these children and teenagers, by ensuring a quality education for them in order to break poverty cycle for a better world. Volunteering may not be easy with the amount of commitments social work students have, but if we remember that volunteering now only helps the agency and community, but helps you at the same time. With the amount of benefits that come from volunteering, I highly recommend students to do help out as much as they can handle.
