All ISO standards are reviewed every five years to establish if a revision is required to keep it current and relevant for the marketplace. The most current version of ISO 9001:2015 is designed to respond to the latest trends and be compatible with other management systems such as ISO 14001.
All the organisation with old ISO certification will have 3 years to migrate in the newer version

ISO 9001:2015 specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organisation:
a)Needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements

b) Aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
