This Rakshabandhan means Raksha and Bandhan, which mean protection and tying the thread of love between brother and sister. This festival symbolizes that strong person must be protect the weaker person from all evils.
In our country, there are many out there, who are not as privileged. They do not have the means or a reason to celebrate this festival.
The Rakshabandhan, this festival is the time to celebrate the unconditional love between brothers and sisters, when they pray for each other’s well-being and happiness. So, this festive season, we extend our celebrations to others, give them a reason to smile, laugh, and concentrate their faith.
We TURNSTONE GLOBAL are celebrating this festival by spreading care, love, happiness to people within irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, age, status or economic condition. We are celebrating this festival at our Nonformal school at Basanti Colony in Kolkata. We have initiated the beautiful way of spreading happiness in others’ lives.
We provide health and nutrition care and support to the children coming from the most marginalized communities. Education is a gift for all’s life. We educate the children to reach the school and stay there.
Every individual is unique and has the potential to excel and succeed in some sphere. To give quality support and opportunities, a nurturing environment, good health, education and skill development and training can help to unlock their ability.
The festival of Rakshabandhan symbolizes the deep love between a sister and a brother strengthens the support base of relationship. Our contributions, actions, responses, agendas are only the favor of the welfare of the people, which help and support our society and the undeveloped sections to flourish and to improve for a whole betterment of our nation. We work at the grounding level because for a nation to grow and to become stronger it is deliberately needed to correct the things that are flawed and unfitting at the lowest level and this is exactly what this organization are doing. We are also spreading awareness among the people so that each one of us can become better human beings; realize the value of service in our lives.
