Great Regret

For my vacation in 2016, I went to a Village [kholakham], a remotest village in West Bengal with my husband.

We checked in a hotel which has basicfacilities where you can feel the rural life.

In the evening, I and my husband ordered some pokoras for evening snacks. After few minutes,a boy seems to be below 14, came with a plate of pokoras with smiling face. As an activist,I started talking to him enquiring about his whereabouts, who are there in his family? What force him to work in his tender age? I asked him whether he wants to study. He immediately reply yes. I have given my card. He told that his father will contact me and he is ready to come to stay in the home of Turnstone Global.

From evening to next morning we have few conversion about his life.

But after morning tea, he came and said he will not contact me. And asked why? He kept quiet. And asked about my card he said he burned the card. I asked why. He said [he got heart] even refused to even take any tips. His eyes were blurred. The expressions were beyond description.

We do not have time to go deep into the matter, but for last two years I am regretting to leave him behind.

Whenever we go in any remote village my eyes are always looking for him. If you come across anyone do not let it go otherwise the regret will be forever.
