For Soma life is a big challenge and she wants to face it like any other human being. Soma is 100% visually challenged rather feeling sorry about her life, she choose a different path.
Soma started taking professional singing training at a very tender age, later she went ahead and managed to mark her name by performing on the same stage with her idols and renowned singers like Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu in Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2007.
Besides excelling in her steady job in Dumdum Airport she loves to be an integral part of various advantageous sports. Every year she participates in the car rally for the blind organised by Turnstone Global in association with Rotary Midtown to change the pre-sets ideas of the society about the differently abled.
She likes to challenge herself and push her boundaries to set an example of a hero which could be followed by all in our society irrespective of their abilities and disabilities. She is the strong voice that teaches our society not to judge anyone on their disabilities.
