Braille education is required for blinds people and there are numbers of braille schools in Kolkata to provide them educational support. This kind of educational support motivates them to begin their new venture so that they can become self-dependent by overcoming their disability. This venture shows them a new way to overcome all of their difficulties and disabilities. In India total numbers of blinds are 15 millions according to the report of Times of India. Besides schools, many libraries also exist in Kolkata. Establishing braille library is a criterion in Kolkata as well as in India, the braille library is housed within central library of University of Calcutta. This library is first established in Eastern India and a student can find there enough stock of digital audio books. These houses are included with 1,150 Braille titles and 857 audio titles. There is a high demand of braille books in most of the braille schools because lacking numbers of books create huge problems to continue the students’ higher education. Turnstone global has realized their necessity and created a solution for their proper education. We publish the braille books which are easily accessible to the blind. Our first publish is Tagore’s immortal work “Geetanjali” and after we have converted forty books of Swami Vivekananda with the support of West Bengal Govt. we have published more than two thousand braille book versions till date and those are fictional, non-fictional and text books. We also won the “Best Braille Press” award from the Governor of West Bengal in 2011. Besides publishing books, we have required a necessity to establish the braille libraries in India. We have already started our mission with inauguration of braille library in Bhubaneswar on 18th April and today in Siliguri. Turnstone Global MATRICHAYA has illuminated a new light for them who have lost their eyesight.

Education makes people self-dependent, confident. So, braille education gradually becomes a necessity for the blind people in India. Beside the formation of schools, Braille library establishment has also become a fundamental step to facilitate blind people with proper education. Braille library helps them to continue their higher education. It acts like an inspiration for the visually disabled people so that they can make their future. Turnstone Global creates a revolution with the concept of Braille library as well as education.
