Naxalites are a group of left radical communists with the supportive of Maoist political ideology and sentiment .they had been originated by the splitting of the communist party of India (Marxist) and leading to the formation of communist party of India in 1967.The Naxalites are  frequently targeting tribal, police and government workers as  they say that this is a fight for improved land rights and more jobs for neglected agricultural labourers and the poor.

In the beginning the centre of the movement was West Bengal and since last for few years the movement has been spread its wing in the less developed areas of rural central and eastern India  like Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh  through various activities by the underground groups like communist party of india(Maoist)

In 2006 our Hon’ble  ex prime minister of India Prime Minister Mr MANMOHAN SINGH expressed his concern by saying that the Naxalites the “single biggest internal security challenge ever faced by our country” and in search of the remedy of such National threats

It had been estimated that in 2007 Naxalites were active across half of the India’s 28 states WHICH STANDS FOR THE 40 percent of India’s geographical area and known as the ‘red corridor’ according to the estimation 92,000 square kilometres were under their control.

In february 2009, the central government of India announced the “Integrated Action Plan” (IAP) .This plan included funding on various developmental projects for the grass-root economically deprived communities in Naxalite-affected areas, as well as increased the special police funding for better containment and reduction of Naxalite influence.

In 2009, IT HAS BEEN ESTIMATED THAT Naxalites were active across approximately 180 districts in ten states of India.

After the first full year of implementation of the national IAP program In AUGUST 2010 karnataka had been declared as naxal free state.

In July 2011, the number of Naxal-affected areas was reduced to 83 districts across nine states.

In December 2011, as per the report of central the national government  the number of Naxalite related deaths and injuries nationwide had gone down by almost  50% from 2010 levels. In June 2011,OUR Ex HON’ble PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA said , “Development is the master remedy to win over people”

Only the core development of a community can ended up any kind of illegal revolution in which world has witnessed lots of loss of lives and individuals and national properties which simultaneously goes in divine of gross national development.

As the social development organisation Turnstone Global with partnership of paschim banga sector skill development, govt of West Bengal has been launched a free skill development training program and placement assistance in Purulia district for the uplifting the economically backward class inhabitants of outskirts of purulia which once were covered by the extremist organisation like Maoist.
